Use of Evidence in Sector Skills Planning Seminar 

The Centre for Learning on Evaluation Results-Anglophone Africa (CLEAR-AA) invites you and members of your organisation to the Use of Evidence in Sector Skills Planning Seminar, where we ask the question "does evidence matter in Sector Skills Planning in South Africa?” The seminar aims to stimulate debate among scholars, practitioners and other stakeholders who have an interest in sector skills planning on enablers and barriers to evidence use and ways in which uptake can be encouraged.

  • Structural challenges to obtaining reliable, valid data from employers
  • Capacity constraints to conducting research and initiatives by SETAs to enhance capacity
  • Formulating research agendas amid competing priorities within various planning cycles
  • The prospects for knowledge sharing between M&E and Research units within SETAs
